Athletistic/OI. The French National Olympic Committee (NOC) has submitted an application to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the organization of the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, reports the press service of the French NOC.

“This document submitted today to the IOC is the result of our joint work since July. It is a demonstration of our ambition to organize the Games in a new format,” declared David Lappartient, president of the French NOC.

The Games are planned to take place in two French regions: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

The United States, Sweden and Switzerland are also candidates to host the 2030 Olympic Games. In 2024, Paris will host the Summer Olympics, which will take place from July 26 to August 11.
