The arbitrators of the appeal of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) and the Russian Skating Union (SKR) against the decision of the International Skating Union (ISU) to prevent Russian athletes from participating in international competitions have not yet been named, was told before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Earlier, reported that TFR and FFKKR filed a joint complaint with CAS. Later, this information was officially confirmed. Short tracker Semyon Yelistratov, speed skater Angelina Golikova and figure skaters Evgenia Tarasova/Vladimir Morozov also joined the chase.
– The case is ongoing, the parties are exchanging written documents and a panel of arbitrators is currently being appointed to resolve this issue. Once appointed, the panel will issue instructions regarding the conduct of the hearing. For this reason, it is not yet possible to say when the hearing will take place, if it takes place, the CAS said.
In March, due to the situation in Ukraine, Russian athletes were suspended from participating in international competitions under the auspices of the ISU until further notice.
