South Korean national team biathlete Timofey Lapshin told that in the new season he would like to win medals at the Cup and World Championships.
Lapshin played for the Russian national team until 2017, after which he changed his sports citizenship. The 35-year-old biathlete won silver and two bronze medals in personal races at the World Cup, as well as two victories and a bronze medal in relay races.
— Now the team and I are in Hydra, Sweden, where in two days we will start the Swedish championship. We will only do the sprint, because we started running not so long ago, on October 26th. Two races at once will be too much.
— What are your personal expectations for the season?
— I don’t like to make predictions, but this year the preparations went well. We have improved the quality of food and accommodation, so I can set goals. I would like to enter the top 15 in the “total”, as well as return to the World Cup podium and advance to the World Championship prizes. I did a good job, so everything is real and possible,” Lapshin told .
The first stage of the World Cup begins on November 25 in Ostersund, Sweden.
