Coach Tatyana Borodulina no longer works with the Russian national team in short track, the president of the Russian Skating Union tells Nikolai Gouliaev.
– It was said that you have two teams in the Russian short track team – Vladimir Grigoriev and Andrey Maksimov. Tatyana Borodulina continues to work in the national team?
– No, Tatyana no longer works in the team.
– On what basis are the teams divided?
– It is not a division into women’s and men’s teams. Just two groups of athletes. Each coach has his own approach, some work with Vladimir Grigoriev, others with Andrey Maksimov. Healthy competition, necessary in sport.
Tatyana Borodulina ended her sports career and started coaching in the Russian national team in June 2018. As an athlete, she won the European Championship five times, participated in the Olympic Games three times (2006, 2010, 2014).
