The Executive Committee of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) approved the criteria adopted by the coaching council for the selection of athletes who will participate in international competitions in the 2023/24 season and the criteria for distributing prizes for athletes-instructors of the Federal State Budgetary Institution TsSP. , according to the RBU website.
The composition of the men’s and women’s national teams that will participate in the stages of the Commonwealth Cup in Ufa and Raubichi will be made from those included in the list of candidates for Russian sports teams: the 10 best athletes and athletes in the RBU ranking, as well as six men and women each by decision of the Executive Committee of the RBU Coaching Council.
To prepare and participate in the stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Murmansk, the composition of the national teams will be formed in the same way, plus eight junior athletes, by decision of the executive committee of the RBU coaching council.
Russian and Belarusian biathletes have been suspended from competitions under the auspices of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
