Double Olympic medalist Alexander Loginov shared his expectations for the PARI Cup of the International Club Biathlon League (MLCB), emphasizing that he is not completely prepared for the tournament.
On November 18-19, the PARI Cup of the International Club Biathlon League (MLCB) will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk. Among the men, 57 athletes applied for the tournament, including 2022 Olympic medalist on the Russian national team Eduard Latypov and Belarusian Olympic runner-up Anton Smolsky. For victory, athletes will receive one million rubles.
— For some, these are very important competitions, for others, they are control competitions. Everyone will go out and fight for the high places, and let’s just say it’s great that competitions have appeared, no matter how much money they pay or don’t pay, it’s just good. There is still nothing better than competitive practice. I’m not ready for these competitions. I trained in a unique way, not completely, and I don’t expect big results from myself. I had health problems, so I could not fully do my job,” Loginov said on the air of the program “Everyone for the match!” on the channel.
Watch live broadcasts of the PARI MLKB Cup men’s and women’s mass starts on Saturday at 9:05 a.m. and 11:20 a.m., respectively, on the channel.
