“Ustyugov hasn’t said much about where exactly he would start. Now he’s training, he’s getting into it” – Sorin

Olympic champion Sergei Ustyugov did not specify at which stage of the Russian Cup he will start this season, at the moment the athlete is training and getting in shape, the coach of the Russian cross-country team told Egor Sorine .

On Monday, Ustyugov took 11th place in the 15-kilometer freestyle mass start of the KhMAO-Yugra open championship. The 31-year-old covered the distance in 32 minutes 39.51 seconds.

The first stage of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Cup will take place from November 23 to 26 in Vershina Teya (Khakassia).

— I cannot say for sure whether Sergei Ustyugov’s plans have changed or not. So far, he hasn’t said much about where exactly he would start. In any case, he is training and getting involved now. If I’m not mistaken, he will now arrive in Syktyvkar, where he will also participate. I think it will be decided on the spot when it is ready. First of all, he himself will talk about it in his media,” Sorin told .
