World championship medalist Anna Sola who returned to biathlon after the birth of her child, told that she is eight out of ten ready for the upcoming season.
Sola gave birth to a daughter last December. On Saturday, she will start the women’s race of the PARI Cup of the International Club Biathlon League (MLCB).
— I really love winter, I love skiing, so it’s really nice to be back. Every day I go to training and do what I love.
— If you rated yourself on a ten-point scale, what would it be?
— I think there are eight.
— So are you close to your best form?
— We can say that (laughs).
—Are you counting on something here?
– Oh, I’m not counting on anything here, but, of course, every athlete, when running the distance, wants to win. It’s hard to judge my abilities compared to other biathletes, so I just want to go out and enjoy the race. If we talk about season, I would like the filming to be more stable. For this, I do everything possible.
— How strong is the Belarusian team without Dinara Smolskaya, but with you?
– Tomorrow begins – we will see.
– First you were on maternity leave, now she is. Do you want to compete together?
“I think it’s a matter of time,” Sola told .
Olympic champion Dinara Alimbekova is absent from the upcoming season due to the birth of a child.
