Belarusian biathlete Anton Smolski won the pursuit race at the first PARI Cup of the International Club Biathlon League (MLCB), which takes place in Khanty-Mansiysk.
Smolsky covered the distance of 12.5 km in 32 minutes 53.1 seconds, making a mistake at the milestones. World champion Anton Babikov took second place (+23.7 seconds) with a miss, and Karim Khalili, who became third, also missed the frame once (+30.5).
Three-time Games medalist Eduard Latypov finished seventh.
The first MLKB Cup will take place on November 18 and 19. Russian and Belarusian biathletes take part in the races. For victory, athletes receive 1 million rubles.
