Dmitry Nasyko and Artem Prima missed the race
Ukrainian biathlete Anton Dudchenko won the second control sprint at the training camp in Finland Kontiolahti.
Dudchenko drove the track without penalty laps. After the second milestone, the Ukrainian was about six seconds behind the Finnish biathlete Tero Seppäla, but managed to beat his result in the final lap.
Roman Borovik, who took eighth place, also entered the top 10. Among the Ukrainians, Vitaly Mandzyn (11th place), Dmitry Grushchak (15th), Bohdan Borkovsky (16th) and Ruslan Tkalenko (21st) also took part.
34 athletes from Ukraine, Finland and Kazakhstan, who were in Kontiolahti, took part in the race. It should be noted that the winner of Saturday’s race, Denis Nasyko, as well as one of the leaders of the Ukrainian team, Artem Prima, missed the control sprint.
The 2023/24 Biathlon World Cup starts in Ostersund, Sweden on November 25. By the end of this year, stages will also take place in Hochfilzen and Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
