Biathlete Povarnitsyn said he did not regret leaving the Russian team

Biathlete Alexander Povarnitsyn told that he does not regret leaving the Russian national team, despite the difficulties he faces during self-training.

Povarnitsyn previously trained in Yuri Kaminsky’s group, but left the team this summer to self-train. He now trains with world champions Alexander Loginov and Anton Babikov according to the plans of coach Dmitry Shukalovich.

— Which of your three is the leader?

– I think Anton. He felt very good at the October training camp and is now on the first snow, which is confirmed by his result.

— Did you regret making such a choice and leaving the national team?

– No, I don’t regret the choice I made at all. I really like this format. Of course, it is not enough that the coach is not there all the time. To correct technical errors, they must be constantly monitored. You have to work on it a lot yourself and spend a lot of your resources.

We do everything ourselves, filling in for many other positions on the team, but in reality it’s not as much work as it seems.

-What is your role?

— I can’t say that I’m a cook (laughs). We prepare everything together. I am more responsible for discipline in the team. I’m a bit tedious. For example, I force you to go out to exercise,” Povarnitsyn told .

The races of the first stage of the Russian Cup will take place on November 25 and 26. Watch live broadcasts of the competition on the television channels of the Match holding.
