The head coach of the women’s team considers Christina one of the team leaders
Senior coach Ukrainian women’s biathlon team Nikolay Zots on the eve of the start of the first stage World Cup 2023/24 in Ostersund, Sweden, commented on the future debut Kristina Dmitrenko.
“We have to start sometime. [Дмитренко] Back in the summer, it proved itself to be at the level of the team and the World Cup. The fact that she has not appeared here before is a question for others [тренерам]and maybe even to herself.”
“But now, really, those three biathletes who will run [смешанные эстафеты] – Anastasia Merkushina, Irina Petrenko and Kristina Dmitrenko – they are the leaders of today’s team. And now they are most ready for these relay races.”
Let us remind you that Dmitrenko has been entered into the classic mixed relay, which will take place on Saturday, November 25. For Christina this will be her debut at the World Cup level. Together with Dmitrenko, the composition included Artem Prima, Anton Dudchenko And Irina Petrenko. Earlier in the day Artem Tishchenko And Anastasia Merkushina will start in singles mixed doubles.
