Petrenko took 22nd place in the individual race at the World Cup in Östersund

Three more Ukrainians finished in the top 50

Held women’s individual race at the first stage Biathlon World Cupwhich takes place in Swedish Östersund.

Five athletes from Ukraine took part in it. Showed the best result among them Irina Petrenko, which took 22nd place. This is her highest achievement at this level since the 2017/18 season.

Irina made two misfires at a distance. With a similar number of misses from her compatriot Anna Krivonos, Kristina Dmitrenko And Lyubov Kipyachenkova took places from 40th to 48th.

Anastasia Merkushina, who finished in 83rd position, had five misses at once.

The Italian won the race Lisa Vittozzi. Two representatives from Germany also took places on the podium: Franziska Preuss And Vanessa Vogt.

Let us remind you that the Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 started in Östersund on Saturday, November 25. On the first day of the competition, Ukraine took 10th place in the single mixed relay, and the blue-yellow team finished eighth in the classic mixed relay.
