German Rees won the individual race in Östersund, one Ukrainian is in the top 40

Johannes Boe took third place

In Ostersund, Sweden, as part of the first stage Biathlon World Cup took place men’s individual racethe winner of which was the German Roman Rees.

Second place was taken by another representative of Germany, Justus Strehlow, who lost 12.1 seconds to Rees. The third was the Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Boe. Let us note the fourth place of Andrejs Rastorguevs from Latvia.

The best result among the Ukrainians was shown by Artem Tishchenko, who made one mistake – 38th place. Taras Lesyuk finished the race 49th, Bogdan Tsymbal – 52nd, Denis Nasyko – 54th, Anton Dudchenko – 56th.

The winner of the women’s individual race was Lisa Vittozzi from Italy. The best Ukrainian woman is Irina Petrenko (22nd place).

The stage in Östersund will last on November 29 with the women’s relay. Next on the program are the men’s team race, sprints and pursuit races.
