Winner of the Biathlon World Cup Alexander Povarnitsyn went to the start of the first stage of the ski sprint prologue in the guise of the Joker. The athlete’s makeup was done by biathlete of the Russian women’s team Kira Dyuzheva.
The competition takes place on Tuesday on the eve of the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Biathlon Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk. Povarnitsyn, who plays for the “Kings of the Quiet Hour” team, lost to Dmitry Ivanov from the “Chuck-Chuck Norris” team in the quarterfinals and lost his chance to win the tournament.
The prologue is a pre-departure competition organized by the SBR before the main competition program of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup, Championship and Cup of Russia in eight cities of the country.
