Sanitra: I am sure that Prima will show the same good relay as during the mixed doubles

The men’s relay will take place tomorrow, November 30

Head coach Ukrainian men’s biathlon team Juraj Sanitra commented on his choice of composition for the upcoming men’s relay at the first stage World Cup 2023/24 in Östersund.

“I didn’t think for a long time, but there were more options. Because I already know a little from training who can start the relay and at what stage. There was a question about the third stage: to install Lesyuk, Nasik or Tsymbal.”

“And the question was about giving Lesyuk the opportunity to run the relay so that he could show himself how he could close the third stage. I decided to give him an opportunity. I can’t say that Tsymbal or Nasyko look worse, but I decided to try this version of the relay.”

“Artem Prima did not run the individual race. He was preparing for the relay; he always needs time to warm up before the start of the season. I am confident that he will go further and show the same good relay as during the mixed doubles, and will also move a little better along the track.”

The men’s relay race will take place on Thursday, November 30th. The race starts at 16:20 Kyiv time. Ukraine will be represented by Artem Tishchenko, Artem Prima, Taras Lesyuk and Anton Dudchenko.

Today the women’s relay will take place in Sweden. The composition of the Ukrainian national team: Kristina Dmitrenko, Daria Blashko, Anna Krivonos and Irina Petrenko.
