Russian Skating Union President Nikolai Gulyaev told that the International Skating Union (ISU) did not raise the issue of admitting Russian athletes at a recent council meeting online.
An online meeting of the ISU Council took place at the end of November. Russian figure skaters, speed skaters and short track speed skaters have been suspended from competing at the international level due to the situation in Ukraine.
— Have you thought about the question of our admission to the ISU online counseling?
– No, the question was not even asked. “Everything remains as it is now,” Gulyaev told .
There will be no more in-person council meetings until the end of 2023. In 2024, the first meeting will be March 12-15.
