Three more Ukrainians made it into the top 40
The first women’s individual race took place at IBU Cup biathlon in Finnish Kontiolahti.
All four Ukrainians who started in it managed to finish in the top 40. Showed the best result Elena Gorodnaya – 29th place. Having made three mistakes on two stages, she ended up being 5 minutes and 14 seconds behind the first place finisher. Jeanne Richard from France.
Three of Elena’s compatriots finished in the fourth ten – this was enough for them to receive qualifying points. Showed the 34th result Yulia Gorodnaya39th – Alexandra Merkushina. Both made three mistakes.
She shot the best of all the Ukrainians Ksenia Prikhodko (only one inaccuracy), however, she did not show the best performance – the final place was 40th.
Elena Bilosyuk, who had previously entered the IBU Cup, missed this race due to injury.
