Porshnev is a bronze medalist at the 2019 World Championships in the relay race, a silver medalist at the 2022 European Championships in the sprint and a winner at the 2019 Universiade in the 20 kilometer individual race. The athlete has been married to biathlete Anastasia Morozova since 2019. In July 2022, a daughter, Maya, was born in the family.
