World speed skating champion Ruslan Murashov became winner of the Russian Cup in Chelyabinsk in the all-around sprint competition.
Murashov won both days of competition in the 500m with results of 35.25 and 35.05 seconds, respectively. Twice he finished second in the 1,000 m distance (1:09.76 and 1:09.62) and scored 139.990 points, setting a rink record for the sprint all-around total.
The second was Pavel Kulizhnikov (140,250). He won twice in the 1000m (1:09.45 and 1:09.27) and finished second (35.56) and third (35.33) respectively in the 500m.
The third was Artem Arefiev – 142.140 (35.90; 1.11.19; 35.32; 1.10.85), also showing the third result for the second “five hundredths”.
The bronze medalist in the 1000m on the first and second days of competition was Egor Koyarkovsky (1:10.28; 1:10.16).
