Russian speed skating champion Ekaterina Kosheleva said she no longer had knee problems that bothered her before the start of the season.
Kosheleva won the Russian Cup stage in Chelyabinsk in the classic all-around.
— At these competitions, it was important to complete all distances without disqualification or falls, because the stake was selection for the Russian all-around championship. At some distances I cannot say that I achieved all my goals, in some places it did not work out due to transition problems – at 3000 m a not very pleasant situation occurred with Anastasia Grigorieva, at 500 m she was very happy with her result. The grand total turned out to be the goal I had set for myself.
— Were there any preparation problems before the season?
— It went relatively well. We had some issues with our knees before the season, so we quickly changed some exercises and workouts. I can’t say they bother me much now. Now there will be a preparatory block at the training camp in Irkutsk, this will be key work before the Russian Championship. I hope that everything will go well, we will complete all the assigned tasks and we will be able to show a good result in Irkutsk, ”Kosheleva told .
