In the Swedish Östersund at the first stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 took place men’s pursuit.
The German Philipp Navrat, who had previously won the sprint, had been vying for victory for a long time. However, in the end he lost to the representative of Sweden Sebastian Samuelsson. Norway’s Vetle-Sjastad Christiansen rounded out the top three.
Two Ukrainians who took part in the race failed to make it into the scoring zone, which is limited to the first forty places. Anton Dudchenko finished one position below this limit. Bogdan Tsymbal, who made mistakes at each of the stages, took only 54th place.
