Ukrainian biathletes Julia Jima And Dmitry Pidruchny will take part in the traditional Christmas race., which will take place in German Hanselkirchen December 28th.

Dmitry missed the 2023 Summer World Cup due to a hand injury and was not included in the Ukrainian national team’s squad for the first stage of the 2023 World Cup in Östersund. However, he has already recovered from the fracture and was included in the Ukrainian men’s biathlon team for the second stage of the World Cup, which will be held in Hochfilzen, Austria, from December 8 to 10.

Jim, in turn, fell ill during a preparatory training camp in Oberhof, Germany. She also skipped the Östersund World Cup to be fit for Hochfilzen.

Christmas race (aka – World Team Challenge) Ukrainian duets won twice in its 21-year history. In 2008, Andrei Derisemla and Oksana Khvostenko succeeded in this, and in 2014, Sergei Semenov and Valentina Semerenko.
