Four Ukrainian women made it to the pursuit race
Representative of Norway Ingrid-Landmark Tandrevold won sprint race at the second stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24which takes place in Hochfilzen, Austria.
Tandrevold made no mistakes on the shooting range and finished with a result of 20:59.9 seconds. Second place went to Elvira Oeberg from Sweden, 4.9 seconds behind the Norwegian. Justine Brezat-Boucher from France was third.
The best among the Ukrainians was Anastasia Merkushina, who worked without penalty loops and took 23rd place. Yulia Dzhima, for whom today’s start was her debut of the season, finished 38th.
Three more Ukrainians were outside the top 40: Irina Petrenko (51st place), Anna Krivonos (57th) and Elena Gorodnaya (68th).
The men’s sprint also took place today in Hochfilzen. The winner of the race was the Norwegian Tarjei Boe.
On Saturday, December 9, the men’s and women’s pursuit races will take place in Hochfilzen. Starts at 13:15 and 15:45 Kyiv time.
