— The weather in Ufa is not the warmest, why did you go out to train today?
— Because in Tyumen it was even worse, it was -40! Here after lunch it was -20, in principle the conditions were comfortable for at least a little skiing. In Tyumen, it was completely impossible for me to walk to the dining hall, where it was only a five-minute walk. Meanwhile, our noses and hands were frozen, so we worked at the shooting range and gym. In Tyumen, cross-country races could be held on the street, but they are short – 30-40 minutes, but here you can ski for an hour and a half.

– Of course I miss you. I already want to run, I’m already tired of training. It may not be a great performance, but it will still be a competition. I want to feel the atmosphere, because it gets boring,” Surnev told .
