Triple Olympic medalist Edward Latypov said that because of the cold he could not feel his toes during the second round of the sprint of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup stage in Ufa.

Latypov became the winner of the sprint on Friday. The biathlete covered the distance flawlessly on two shooting ranges.

— Have you had any problems with your rifle because of the cold?

— Thank God no, but it was generally cold. I got to the finish line and didn’t even break a sweat. The temperature was so balanced that I was barely running warm. My legs were completely frozen: by the second round I no longer felt my fingers and it was unpleasant to push, I realized that everything was somehow made of wood. It’s a bit scary, because I’m afraid for my health: when you run, you don’t feel your body. We have to face such difficulties. It seems to be the same in terms of diplomas in Khanty, but it feels different. The frost chills you to the bone,” reports the correspondent of , reporting Latypov’s words.
