The competition will be held in Gangwon, Korea on January 20th
Application made public Ukrainian biathlon team on 2004 Youth Winter Olympicswhich will be held in January-February in the Korean city of Gangwon.
The application included ten athletes – four girls and four boys, as well as two reserves. Valery Lesnikov, Nikolai Svistyulya and Oksana Khvostenko will represent the team as coaches.
- Girls: Irina Shevchenko, Polina Putsko, Valeria Sheigas, Alina Khmil
- Boys: Dmitry Kryukov, Alexander Bilanenko, Ivan Steblina, Alexander Golik
- Spares: Victoria Khvostenko, Bogdan Bogach
Let us note that all five girls, as well as two of the five boys, are participating in the ongoing Ukrainian Biathlon Championship 2023. So, yesterday, December 22, Polina Putsko took fourth place in the women’s sprint. In the men’s sprint race, Kryukov showed 11th result, and Steblina became 17th.
The Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held in South Korea from January 19 to February 2, 2024. From January 20 to 24, six biathlon starts will take place: individual races, sprint races, and mixed relay races (single and classic).
