Medalist at the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships Ekaterina Aldoshkina told that she could not contain her emotions after her first career victory in speed skating at the Russian Championship.
Aldoshkina won at a distance of 3000 m. This is her second season combining performances in short track speed skating and classic speed skating. The current title of champion of Russia, won in Irkutsk, was the first in the long track athlete’s career.
“After the race, I couldn’t hold back my tears and I gave in for about fifteen seconds. Honestly, I was heading towards the title of Russian champion in “big” skating, for me it’s great. The coach gave him confidence before the start. I am very happy and grateful to everyone who supports, writes and is sick. This gives me a lot of strength and motivation! – Aldoshkina told .
