A ceremony dedicated to the end of Lalenkova’s career took place on the first day of the Russian Championships at certain distances in Irkutsk.
“I’m still emotionally aware that my career is ending. Today there was a moment where my voice shook, but overall I held on. I prepared a video for today; when I looked at it, I was sad. After the ceremony, I went to the stands to give the kids a quiz: they wanted autographs, someone wanted to take a photo. It was nice, to be honest.
