Vitaly Mandzyn And Tatiana Tarasyukrepresenting the first team of the Ternopil region, became winners single mixed relay on Ukrainian Biathlon Championship 2023.
Mandzyn and Tarasyuk ran one penalty loop and were 6.2 seconds ahead of Vitaly Trush and Anastasia Merkushina. Roman Borovik and Valentina Semerenko came third.
This was the final race of the December part of the Ukrainian Championship in the village. Yavoriv, Lviv region. The winners of the sprints were Lyubov Kipyachenkova and Stepan Kinash, and Alexandra Merkushina and Ruslan Tkalenko triumphed in the pursuit races. Vita and Valentina Semerenko, Vladislav Chikhar and Bogdan Borkovsky won the mixed relay.
The national championship will continue at the end of March after the completion of international competitions. It is expected that the second part of the ChU will be hosted by a new complex in Bukovel.
The next stage of the Biathlon World Cup will be held in Oberhof, Germany, from January 4 to 7, 2024. It will feature two individual races – sprints and pursuits, as well as a classic relay.
