Speed skater Murashov: “I got sick in Kolomna before the Chechen Republic, but I am happy with my results”

World speed skating champion Ruslan Murashov said he took part in the Russian Championship after an illness, but was overall satisfied with his result.

Murashov won the 500m and 1000m distances at the Russian Championships in Irkutsk.

— Two gold medals. Did you expect to win the 1000m?

— In the 1000m, I was hoping to compete with Pasha Kulizhnikov, but there he had an incident with his suit. I was sick again in Kolomna, my form was not very good, I missed three days of training. Here I ran in 1 minute 10 seconds and was basically happy with my result.

— How do you find the conditions in Irkutsk? Dmitry Anatolyevich said that there were questions about electronics.

– Yes, the timing is very strange. They lost 0.2 seconds for some, 0.3 seconds for others. I would like to have an explanation of this story.

— Did the acclimatization go well?

“I think that in order to break records you need to come here in advance, there is still a low altitude here, closer to the middle mountains,” Murashov told .
