French biathletes Simon and Claude won the mass start of the Christmas Race

Representatives of France Julie Simon and Fabien Claude won the mass start in the “Christmas Race” biathlon.

The competition traditionally takes place at the stadium of the German football club Schalke in Gelsenkirchen.

Second place was taken by Germans Hannah Koebinger and Benedikt Doll, who were 50.5 seconds behind the leaders. Ingrid Tandrevold and Sturla Lægreid from Norway were third, 1 minute behind.

Everyone who is more than 45 seconds behind the leader during the mass start will start the pursuit race at the same time.

Julia Simon and Fabien Claude won the Christmas Race last year.
