Elena will start first in today’s race
Senior coach Ukrainian women’s biathlon team Nikolay Zots made changes to the team before the relay race in the fourth stage World Cup 2023/24 in German Oberhof.
Irina Petrenkowho performed unsuccessfully in the sprint, will replace Elena Gorodnaya. She will be the first to start as part of the blue-yellow team. They will run the baton after her Julia Jima, Anastasia Merkushina And Kristina Dmitrenko.
Earlier, Zots said that Petrenko’s participation in the relay is in question. “If there are any problems with her, we will involve Elena Gorodnaya,” the coach said on Friday.
The men’s relay has already taken place today in Oberhof. Norway won it, and Ukraine performed poorly, finishing in thirteenth place.
The women’s relay will complete the fourth stage of the World Cup. The race starts at 15:25 Kyiv time.
