Three-time Russian biathlon champion Natalia Shevchenko admitted that during her career she had never faced poor preparation of equipment before a race.
Shevchenko, who previously competed in cross-country skiing under the name Mekryukov, switched sports in the summer of 2022.
– Actually, I’m the type of person who, probably, never once in my career complained about my skis, didn’t say that they didn’t ride well, that they m have deliberately “smeared”. I prefer to congratulate you, even when the skis don’t really run their best. Because the service is the same people who have the right to make mistakes. Shevchenko won the pursuit race at the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup stage in Raubichi (Belarus) on Saturday. Last season, she won gold three times at the Russian Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk, and in September, at the Russian Summer Championships, the former skier became the first in the relay as part of the team the Sverdlovsk region.
