Norway wins men’s relay in Ruhpolding, Ukraine – 18th

Prima and Mandzyn went to penalty loops

Norway national team became the winner men’s relay at the fifth stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in Ruhpolding, Germany.

Norwegian biathletes completed the distance without penalty loops, using eight additional cartridges. Germany finished second, losing 45 seconds to the winners. In the fight for third place, Italy was ahead of France.

Team Ukraine (Artem Prima, Dmitry Pidruchny, Denis Nasyko, Vitaly Mandzyn) finished the race in 18th place. Note that already at the first shooting Prima went to the penalty loop. Mandzyn also ran an additional 150 m, who, moreover, lost to the Estonian representative at the finish line.

Yesterday, January 10, the Ukrainian women’s team took fifth place. This is the best result for Ukrainian biathletes in relay races since 2021.

Also as part of the stage in Ruhpolding there will be sprints and pursuit races.
