The Norwegian men’s biathlon team won relay gold at the fifth stage of the World Cup in Ruhpolding (Germany).
The Norwegian team, which included Sturla Holm Lægreid Johannes Dahle-Sevdahl, Tarjei Be And Vetle-Sjastad Christiansen , showed a time of 1 hour 9 minutes 49.6 seconds. The athletes used 8 additional cartridges.
The second place was taken by the German team (lag – 45 seconds, 2 penalty loops and 7 additional laps), the leading trio was completed by the Italian team (+58.7, 10 additional laps).
The Norwegian men’s team has not lost in World Cup relay races for 11 stages since January 2022, when the Russians became first.
The sixth stage of the World Cup will take place from January 18 to 21 in Antholz (Italy).
