Group of coaches of the Russian team Sergei Bashkirov On July 18, he will hold an open shooting practice for fans. The event will take place at the Kavgolovo training center in the Leningrad region, the press service of the Russian Biathlon Union reported.
All athletes from the specialized group will participate in open training: Alexander Loginov, Maxim Tsvetkov, Anton Babikov, Alexander Povarnitsyn, Vasily Tomshin, Kirill Bazhin, Mikhail Burundukov, Vyacheslav Maleev, Ivan Kolotov and Alexey Vagin.
– We want to conduct a training session in conditions close to those of the competition, therefore we expect active participation from the public in the form of the loudest “cheers”. You don’t need an atmosphere like in the theatre. Supporting shouts, chants, rattles – anything that will help create competitive excitement among the athletes is welcome.
– How will all of this turn out?
– Initially, we will qualify for five moves in order to divide everyone into pairs according to the principle of first with last, second with ninth and so on. Separately, we will run qualifying and relay races on the belly and on the rack. The rate of fire will be determined by the stopwatch, the penalty for each miss is 5 seconds. The relay races will be fully drawn, without roller skates, and only in the last part of the training we will have a small 300-meter running mass start,” Bashkirov said.
