Tandrevold won the sprint in Ruhpolding, Jima was in the top 15

Kipyachenkova, Belkina and Gorodnaya – outside the top 60

Representative of Norway Ingrid-Landmark Tandrevold became the winner women’s sprint at the fifth stage Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in German Ruhpolding.

Tandrevold made no mistakes on the shooting range and finished with a score of 19:25.4. The Norwegian was 18.2 seconds ahead of Swede Mona Brorsson. Third place went to Lisa Vittozzi from Italy.

The best among Ukrainians was Julia Jima, finishing the race in 13th place. This is the best result of an athlete in the 2023/24 World Cup. Let us remind you that Jim will miss the European Championships in order to better prepare for the World Championships.

Three more representatives of Ukraine – Lyubov Kipyachenkova, Nadezhda Belkina And Elena Gorodnaya — did not make it into the pursuit race, finishing outside the top 60.

Let us remind you that Ukraine competed in the women’s sprint with a truncated team. Immediately after the relay, Irina Petrenko, Anastasia Merkushina and Kristina Dmitrenko went to Antholz, where they will prepare for the European Championships.

On Saturday, January 13, the men’s sprint will take place in Ruhpolding. Pursuit races will take place on Sunday.
