On Friday, team races among men and women took place at the Russian Championship in Tchaikovsky. According to the rules, four people from the same team start at the same time. At the lines, two biathletes are shooting and the others are in the waiting area. For each failure, two athletes are sent into a penalty loop. When passing the course and at the finish, the gap between the first and last teammate cannot exceed 15 seconds.

— Not for the level of competition we currently have. But the format is interesting, it would be interesting to watch at the World Cup. The national team of Bashkortostan, for which Babikov played, as well as Eduard Latypov, Vladislav Zotov and Erast Imanbaev, took 12th place.
