Biathlete of the Udmurtia national team Alexander Kornev believes his region would be among the best if most athletes did not join other teams.
On Sunday, Kornev won the mass start of the Alfa-Bank Russian Championship in Tchaikovsky. The top 10 included five former biathletes of the Udmurt national team.
– There is a slight resentment. If they were all on the team we would have a top region. We are missing him a bit, but I hope that sponsors and people who can help us will come to us. So we will have more athletes.
