“It wasn’t fresh. I feel bad, the slide is tight, it’s difficult to concentrate on shooting” – Latypov about silver in the mass start in the Chechen Republic

Russian biathlete Edward Latypov said on that he encountered difficulties during the mass start of the Alfa-Bank Russian Championship in Tchaikovsky due to suboptimal health.

Latypov, who made three errors on four shooting ranges, became second in the mass start, losing 15.4 seconds to Alexander Kornev. Alexander Povarnitsyn finished third (+24.8 seconds).

— It’s a difficult race, I feel bad, the sliding is difficult because the snow doesn’t “roll”, it turned out to be a solid race. It’s very difficult to concentrate on shooting because your arms and legs get stuck and you simply don’t have time to move away. On the one hand, it was an interesting race, on the other hand, we had to endure it today.

— Did you think that after the fourth shot, you would recover the gap thanks to your movement?

— I wasn’t fresh, I knew Sanya wouldn’t give up at the finish line, he’s a strong guy. I looked at the situation, if I had the chance, maybe I would try to fight,” Latypov said on .

From January 16 to 22, the fourth stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Biathlon Cup will be held in Izhevsk. Watch live broadcasts of races from the stages of the Alfa-Bank Russian Biathlon Cup on the channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
