The prologue of the shooting duel before the stage of the Russian Cup in Izhevsk will tentatively take place on Wednesday, Executive Director of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBR) Alexander Pak told .
During the 2023/24 season, Russian biathletes compete in an experimental format: the prologue. These are preliminary competitions organized by the SBR before the main program of competitions of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Cup, Championship and Cup of Russia. The biathletes compete in four teams. At each individual stage, the winners of the competition receive 50, 40 and 30 thousand rubles and points for ranking, respectively. The winning team will receive one million rubles at the end of the season.
