This year the PARI Legkov Race will be special. This marks 10 years since the conclusion of the Sochi Olympic Games, 10 years since Alexander Legkov’s Olympic gold medal and 10 years since the date of the first race. In the new season, with the support of the President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation Elena Vyalbe, the Ambassadors of the Race will be: Maxim Vylegzhanin, Ilya Chernousov, Yulia Chepalova, Natalya Korosteleva, Karim Khalili, Anton Shipulin, Dmitry Malyshko, Nikita Kryukov, Alexander Panzhinsky, Ivan Alypov, Evgeny Dementyev, Alexey Petukhov, Dmitry Yaparov, Alexander Bessmertnykh, Nikolai Kruglov and many other athletes.
The creator and ideological inspiration of the Race – Alexander Legkov winner of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games:
— In 2015, I decided to organize the first Legkov race and invited my friends to participate, so I didn’t even imagine what would come of it. And very soon the 10th Anniversary Race will take place. The project is growing and gaining momentum, more and more people are joining us and I am very happy about it! After all, the Race is about each of us, it is about traditions, character, pride in one’s country and its achievements, and not just sporting ones.
What’s special?
On February 23-24, guests and participants of the PARI Legkov race will enjoy a ski festival with a total prize fund of 5 million rubles. In addition to participating in competitions for children and adults, the organizers provide time for the whole family – for the first time on one site you can see 31 Olympic medals, get autographs of famous athletes, participate in draws to the fate of partners and encourage participants in the fan zone.
