Double world snowboard champion Dmitry Loginov told that he was preparing for the Spartakiad of the Strongest as the main start of the season.
Snowboarding competitions as part of the Spartakiade of the Strongest will take place from February 9 to 18 on the piste in the town of Miass.
– You are young, in the prime of your life and at a time without international departures. How much is currently being done for snowboarding in our country?
– A lot. They try, but it’s not the same level anyway. They provide a kind of financial motivation, but one or two departures per season, and that’s it. There is no competition yet. Honestly, I don’t know what level we are at right now.
— There will also be a Spartakiad soon, the track is in Miass. What are your expectations?
— I am preparing for the Spartakiad as the main start of the season. In addition to the International Snowboard Champions Cup in Moscow, we also have the Russian Championship and the Spartakiad. I hope everything works out for me in Miass. The track there is not very difficult, there are a lot of flat slopes, of medium difficulty,” Loginov told .
By decision of the FIS, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been suspended from international competitions since March 2022 due to the situation in Ukraine.
