Biathlon: three Ukrainian women finished in the top 20 of the individual race in Antholz

The Swiss biathlete unexpectedly won the women’s short individual race at the World Cup.

In Antholz, Italy, where the sixth edition of the Biathlon World Cup is being held, a short individual women’s race was held on Friday. It should be noted that of the five Ukrainian representatives who started, four entered the scoring zone, while three finished in the top 20.

Our athletes were prevented from rising higher by mistakes on the shooting range. Every Ukrainian woman has been missed at least once. And the victory was unexpectedly won by the Swiss Lena Hecky-Gross, who knocked down all the targets. Also in the top 3 were Frenchmen Julia Simon and Lou Jeanmonnot, who were 20.2 and 31.4 seconds behind the winner, respectively.
