Frenchwoman Simone won the mass start at the Biathlon World Cup in Antholz; the Norwegians won the entire podium in the men’s category

French woman Julie Simon won the mass start of the Biathlon World Cup in Antholz (Italy).

The athlete covered the distance of 12.5 km in 34 minutes 42.5 seconds, making 1 mistake.

Second place goes to his compatriot Lou Jeanmonnot-Laurent , who performed cleanly at the shooting range, but lost to the winner by 8.9 seconds. The third was Lena Hecky-Gross (+20.7; 1 miss) from Switzerland.

Among the men, the entire podium was occupied by Norwegian biathletes. Victory in the 15 km race was won by Vetle-Sjastad Christiansen, who clocked 35 minutes 51.4 seconds with 1 penalty. Johannes Dahle-Sevdahl (+10.7; 2) finished second; Vebjorn Soerum (+14.0; 1) won bronze.

The next stage of the Biathlon World Cup will take place in February, in the Czech Republic, in Nove Mesto.
