“The Russian Bobsleigh Federation remains a full member of the international federation. This will allow us to continue negotiating and defending the rights of our athletes,” Pegov said.
On July 15, according to the results of the vote in Congress, the IBSF (International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation – approx. Athletistic) decided to withdraw Russian athletes from participating in tournaments under the auspices of the organization. The suspension will remain in effect until further notice from the IBSF.
