The Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne annulled all results of Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has decided to disqualify Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva for four years for violating anti-doping rules.

The disqualification will last until December 25, 2025. The date is determined by the time the athlete from the aggressor country takes a positive doping test. The sample was taken on December 21, 2021 during Valieva’s performance at the Russian Championship. He was given a four-year suspension, not two, because the athlete could not prove that he broke the rules unintentionally.

In addition, CAS annulled all results of Kamila Valieva from December 25, 2021.

We remind you that in February 2022, at the Beijing Olympics, Valieva won gold in the team competition, but the award did not take place due to the investigation. His result was canceled – he scored 20 points out of a total of 74. Now the CAS has stripped the 17-year-old of his gold medal in its decision. For other Russians, the decision will be made by the IOC.

Valieva was also stripped of the European Championship gold, which she won in January 2022, as well as eight awards at tournaments in Russia.

Let’s recall that Ukraine previously responded to the entry of the Russians into the 2024 Olympics.
