Former Russian biathlete, and now a deputy in the State Duma Anton Shipulin reported he could fly the same day and on the same route as the one that crashed in the plane crash Igor Malinovsky .
The five-time world junior champion Malinovsky was at the helm of a helicopter that took off on July 16 on the route “Milkovo – Valley of geysers – Caldera of the Uzon volcano”. Later, the helicopter stopped communicating. On Sunday, the vehicle was found burnt down by Kamchatka rescuers. The Russian Emergencies Ministry confirmed that none of the passengers survived. Malinovsky was 25 years old.
“My condolences to all relatives and friends of Igor. Strength to you. This is an irreparable loss.
We knew Igor. A good, kind and modest guy, a bright and talented athlete. He loved biathlon, but he was even more passionate about helicopters. As soon as the conversation turned to them, that’s it – Igor’s eyes lit up.
We also had to take the same route as Igor. But they didn’t fly because of the fog. Today I saw the crash site – all in the wreckage. It is very sad when young people leave, – Shipulin wrote: on his page in the social network “VKontakte”.
