Belarusian national team biathlete Dmitry Lazovsky told that he and his teammates were in good spirits after the news of the strongest’s admission to Spartakiad, but they still don’t understand why it took so long for the decision to be made.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation introduced an addition to the regulations on holding the Spartakiad, according to which Belarusian athletes will be able to compete. Their results will be taken into account in the unofficial protocol without summarizing the general team classification based on the results of the starts.
– We are already in Zlatoust. We tried the course, liked everything, everything was prepared to a good standard. What can we say about the stadium: a beautiful building opposite the shooting range, everything is of high quality, the waxing booths are normal.
— How did you feel about the fact that you were only allowed to ride in the last car?
– Of course, it’s great to come here and compete, but it’s not clear why we were harassed for so long? And so, for fun, we will participate here. Everything is great, new place. The atmosphere in the team is positive. We live in comfortable conditions, everything is pleasant.
— Here you are again out of the ranking, like at the Russian Cup. Is it frustrating or are you already used to it?
“If all this gets on your nerves, you won’t have enough nerves.” We accept this situation as it is,” Lazovsky told .
The Spartakiad biathlon will be held from February 10 to 18 in Zlatoust (Chelyabinsk region).
